Q: How can I connect my amp and subs into my factory head unit (2005 Dodge Neon)?
I want to connect my amp and subs to the stock stereo without getting a new head unit.
A: You would need an amp kit depending on the size of your amp it might need to be 8ga or 4ga. Just run the power wire from the battery to the amp make sure you use a fuse holder by the battery, then you can hook your remote turn on wire to the ignition wire in the main harness under the steering wheel, run your ground wire from your trunk, and for the rca's you will need a LOC (line out converter) that you can wire to the rear speaker and plug your rcs's to it. Unlees your amp has one built in. Make sure everything is tight and nothing loose and you are done....
Q: Loose steering on a 2005 Dodge Neon?
I have a 2005 Dodge Neon, automatic transmission, it has 43,300 miles on it. Suddenly the steering has gotten noticeable looser. Still driveable but it has me worried.
No problems with the steering until tonight. Yesterday I hit a rather large dip in the road put there for construction that kind of worried me. But there wasn't any noticeable change in anything on the car afterwards. The only other thing I've done in the car was late lastnight I drove it up and ran it through an automatic car wash.
I'm just wondering what this could possibly be, and the cost, and how bad. I can't take it to the shop immediately, probably not until next weekend. I only need to drive it about 10 miles to work each way. I don't take it on any freeways, it's all side streets.
I did check the fluid level and it indeed was low. I bought some fluid and put it in. Drove it around a bit, but not much, and it didn't seem to improve. Can it take awhile for that to kind of 'kick in' or should it be immediate?
I just went out to try turning the wheels and looking at the suspension, I remember the suspension does creak a bit when I go over speed bumps. I'm not sure if it's gotten worse or not.
But when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or right at the far end it makes a loud 'hissing' or 'grinding' noise from near the steering fluid resevior. It's hard to tell what it is. Kind of a 'psssszzzz!'.
I'll take it up tonight but won't be able to get an estimate until Monday. I just had to get the alternator and battery replaced and it was way more than I thought it'd be so am worried.
A: Sounds like it could be damage to the steering column....hard to say. Could also be needing front end alignment.
Q: How can i find out if my 2005 Dodge Neon is a Autobot Transformer.?
A: first check the engine...if it looks radical, it probably is an Autobot Transformer. If it looks wimpy and unenthusiastic, you just have a dumpy Neon.

A: Battery? alternator? Fuel system? a number of bad relays? But im guessing that its a alternator problem since it can not keep the battery charges and the car dies and lights dim.you can have this tested at a local auto parts with a scanner they do it for free.
Q: how to change a 2005 dodge neon air filter?
I've had 2 neons now and this is the first one to have a drum filter. Where does this one go? Can I change it from the top or do I have to change it from the bottom? If it is from the bottom, where is it located?

Is it the round housing opposite the battery?
A: As the previous post said, thats the air filter housing cover directly in front of the battery according to your pic. Several small screws hold it in place, remove screws, remove cover, replace filter, reverse procedure.
Q: Engine light came on on my 2005 dodge neon, what could it be?
My wife said that the car was stalling when she was going past 30mph, the car was cold. I, then, took it to try it, the engine light was on, but nothing happened.
What can it be?
A: oxygen sensor maybe or make sure the gas cap is on all the way,believe it or not that will make the engine light go on,kind of a scam.
also put some dry gas in the gas tank,you might have some bad gas with to much water in it.
but again if you can have someone throw the computer on the wire at auto zone

Q: how do i install an amp into a 2005 dodge neon??
I have a rockford fosgate 1200 watt amp and 2 sony Xplods 10" subs. The subs are already in the box and connected to the amp which is mounted on the back of the box. I have all the wiring but i don't know how to run the wires from my trunk to my deck and battery. If anyone knows how to wire this all up to my deck, any suggestions would really help. Thank you!

Q: I lost my key fob for my 2005 Dodge Neon. If I reprogram my remaining fob, will it disable the one I lost?
I am hoping if the fob is reprogrammed, it would have a different code.
A: they change code when you reprogram them ,but that doesn't mean the other one still couldn't be used ,to be safe about it change the code several times by reprogramming it this way it should scramble the old code enough that it will dis-able the other key fob,but you should be alright with it,good luck.
