I think it may be on the left side facing the engine compartment in a big black box, does this sound right?
A: its on the right side,( passengers side ),in the black box which is the heater box,you have to remove the box and get it down to get to the heater core,tell your husband that he will need a repair manual to help him with this one,there's a lot of disconnecting to do get it out,its a good all day job if you have never done one before,good luck with it.

I want to get a dodge ram with the cummins diesel. I also want to put the exhaust stacks on, maybe 5" or 6". A: dodge cummins is the way to go!! they get 15-17 mpg without a load or with a load.
If you can find a older dodge with the cummins in it buy it. because there aren't alot out there. there is a reason for this. thy may be big but there reliable and will last for ever. As for fuel prices unlike gas diesel doesn't go up and down like gas. It is cheaper to refine then gas. right now in fargo,nd it is 2.70 and the highest I've seen it is in atlanta at 3.10.
I have a '03 chevy 1 ton diesel that gets 23mpg but as soon as you put a load on it, it goes down to 5mpg.

Q: How many miles will my dodge ram run?
I have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 with a 360. it has 190,000 miles on it and nothing has done to it. my dad has put all those miles on it. he never pulled a trailer or anything. most of the miles have been highway but a few have been on the farm. the motor doesn't burn any oil and runs strong and has original tranny. i just bought it from him and i'll be going to college this next year so does anyone think it will run 250,000 miles easy without any problems?
A: i think it should least at least that long,the one thing that might give you some problems on it will be the timing chain and gears in it they seem to go out between 150 and 200 thousand miles on some of them,other than that the engine should last really good,those 360,s are tough engines and do hold up really well take car of it like he has and you may get another 150 k out of it,good luck on it.

A: i have did one of those a few years back and the only way you can do this is find another wrecked vehicle to work with,it will cost well more than the truck is worth to do this,i did it for myself thinking i could do it cheaply,i got fooled big time,it wound up costing me about 6 grand to build a 4 wheel drive truck,after buying both trucks and doing this it wasn't worth it,the parts keep in mind are very expensive,you can buy a truck cheaper than you can do this,you have to literally change everything on the truck including all the wiring,i hope you got lots of time and money because you,ll need a lot of both,if you do pursue this make sure you are committed to it because once you start doing it you cant stop if you do the vehicle will be worthless,good luck.

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.2 V8. I want to make the stance bigger and the cheapest lift kit I can find for a 5" lift is the rough country lift. It's still at least $800. Is there any other unknown lift kits that are any cheaper? Also. If I end up getting a new lift on my truck, if I keep the stock tires on it will it effect anything or make it look stupid?

Ok my truck is a 98 dodge ram truck, 5.9l, The noise is coming from the sylinders, At first i thought it was the catalist converter but that doesnt seem to be the problem. i have a car diagnositic system thing and i got some codes from the truck, the codes say that the truck is missfiring on cynlinders 1 and 6, i was drinving earlier and when i press on the petal it doesnt seem to be getting the accerlation.
A: you need to check the spark plugs and wires on it ,its very possible they need changing that will cause a miss-fire on some cylinders,it will also cause poor take offs in it ,kind of like its doing,basically it may need a real good tune up,that probably would help it more than anything else ,good luck on it.

A: right now a good used dash is worth about a 100 bucks and a good bumper will bring around 100-150,with rust on it it probably wont bring that much though,good luck.

I have a 1995 dodge ram 5.9Liter with 190,000 miles on it. my dad had it ever since it was new and it has had an easy life so almost everything is factory. so what are some cheep ways to speed it up. i think that i might need to overhaul the engine but it doesn't use any oil. but i don't want to get a turbo or supercharger. can anyone help me?
A: if i was you id be putting a timing chain and gears in it if it has that kind of mileage on it,it wont be long before it will jump timing if you don't,been there and done it,believe me it makes a real mess when the chain breaks and they jump timing,that would be the first thing i would do to assure the engine will last,it will run a lot better with just a new chain and gears in it,good luck.

A: I had an 01 that needed upper and lower on both sides. I took it to my mechanic, and he did it in 6 hours. Some shops will tell you 10 hours or more, but that is a joke. Its a big job!
